Artist Statement

"This project stems from the care and mutual support we give each other, along with the expectations, impositions, and gender roles that have shaped our shared life. These are not only personal experiences but also social structures, at times self-imposed, and at other times shaped by invisible systems. Through our artistic practice, we seek to engage in dialogue with them. As life partners and long-term collaborators, we continuously shift roles: artist, cleaner, curator, housekeeper, producer, servant, guide, transporter, and viewer. Emotions, thoughts, and memories become shared materials, transformed into objects, movement, sound, and image. Through gestures of care, the weight of expectation, and the boundaries of gender norms, we reflect on what it means to be a man, a woman, a husband, a wife, a family. We see this collaboration as something that encourages mutual acceptance, respect, compassion, and support. What begins in the intimacy of everyday life is brought into a space that is no longer private. We are not looking for a definitive conclusion, but rather place these experiences into the exhibition as a form of dialogue with ourselves, with each other, and with anyone who enters."
